The Apprentice Series 2 debuted on 21st September at 9pm on TV3 with a 17% rise in ratings from Series 1. New panel discussion series, You're Fired hosted by Brendan O'Connor, debuted straight after the main show at 10.15pm and held an impressive 2/3 of The Apprentice audience.

The Episode saw the wannabe apprentices' sell HB ice-cream in Dublins City Centre. The girls, team Platinum, were the winning team selling slightly more than the boys. Craig Butler, a business developer from Co. Kildare, who was project manager for the boys, team Cu Chulainn, was the first candidate to be told by Bill Cullen 'You're Fired'.
